Common questions
Why does QuestBreak need camera access?
The camera is how we check that you actually moved — that's the whole point of Change Your View™ and the environmental quests. Frames are designed to be processed on-device and cleared after the quest, rather than uploaded.
Does anything leave my phone?
QuestBreak is designed so quest verification, image analysis, and progress tracking happen on-device. The architecture is built without servers, accounts, or analytics that send personal data off your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
My quest won't complete — what do I do?
Most "stuck" quests are one of three things: (1) low light — try a brighter spot; (2) the new scene isn't different enough — move further or point somewhere genuinely new; (3) camera permission is off — check Settings → QuestBreak. If none of these help, email us with a description of the quest and your device.
Step or movement quests aren't counting.
QuestBreak is designed to rely on your phone's step sensor where available. Some older devices and a few Samsung models don't expose step data; in those cases a motion-detection fallback is planned. Make sure Motion & Fitness permission is granted (iOS) or Physical Activity permission is granted (Android).
My streak reset and I didn't miss a day.
Streaks are calculated in your local timezone. If you traveled across timezones or changed your device clock, the streak window can shift. Email us with the date and we can usually restore it.
I bought the lifetime unlock — how do I restore it on a new device?
Open QuestBreak → Settings → "Restore Purchases" and sign in with the same App Store or Google Play account you used to buy. If it still doesn't appear, email your purchase receipt and we'll sort it out.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not by QuestBreak directly. Cancel anytime through your store account: Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions.
How do I delete my data?
Because data is designed to stay on your device, uninstalling QuestBreak is intended to remove everything. To wipe data before uninstall: Settings → "Delete all data".
